When I taught World Religions for a few years, I created a series of materials to teach the various traditions.  I'll put some up here.  The ones below are for Buddhism, and are meant to be read in no particular order.  The wonderful part of Buddhism is that you are meant to seek what the Buddha sought, not what he found.  Therefore, however you come to truth is totally valid.  

There's a saying in Buddhism: "If you see the Buddha walking down the street, kill it."  It means that you need to destroy your notion of the Buddha, and "truth" in order to realize the Truth.  As they say in Taoism, "The Way that can be named is not the True Way."
